What is the HER HANDS PROJECT?

The HER HANDS PROJECT is our woman's foundation & mission project which is inspired by the scriptures below:

"She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy." - Proverbs 31:20

"She was always doing good and helping the poor” - Acts 9:36

“All the widows stood around him, crying and showing him the robes and other clothing that Dorcas had made (for them) while she was still with them.” - Acts 9:39

WHAT DOES THESE SCRIPTURES MEAN?

The verse in Proverbs 31:20 highlight the generosity and kindness of a virtuous woman. She is compassionate and actively helps those in need, showing Christ-like love through her actions. It reflects a heart that is not only strong and capable but also deeply caring and selfless.

The verses in Acts 9 show the story of Dorcas/Tabitha’s (different names depending on the Biblical translation) life that inspires us to use our talents and resources to serve others. Her example teaches that acts of kindness, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in the lives of those around us. God is looking for Dorcas/ Tabitha’s who are willing to serve other women in need.

The HER HANDS PROJECT allows women to give from the heart & serve other women in need across the city & beyond.

So girl, as we build our faith together, let us also serve together!

Our last mission project:

Our last mission project was held on March 29th, where we created care packages filled with essential items and handwritten messages, which were then distributed to the women’s shelters at the Old Brewery Mission.
